The 2016 Anne Edgeworth Fellowship

Are you an emerging writer under 35? Do you need up to $5,000 to develop your craft, skills and experience? This Fellowship has been established in memory of the late Canberra author and poet Anne Edgeworth (also known as Anne Godfrey Smith), mentored and encouraged many young writers throughout her writing career. It will be presented to an emerging writer under 35 in the ACT and surrounding regions and will be used to advance the recipients' education in the craft of writing.
Expressions of Interest are due by 5pm Friday 14 October 2016.

19th Annual Marjorie Graber-McInnis Short Story Award

The Marjorie Graber-McInnis Short Story Award was established by Don McInnis to commemorate the life of his wife, a short story writer who lived in Canberra and passed away on 25 September 1997. The award is for an emerging ACT region writer (ie without a novel or a collection of short stories published or accepted for publication by a publisher with national distribution, at the closing date for submissions to the award)and entries must be between 1,500–3,000 words.
Submissions close 5pm Wednesday 7 September.

June Shenfield Poetry Award

For an emerging Australian poet (ie without a collection of poems published or accepted for publication by a publisher with national distribution, at the closing date for submissions to the award). Entries must not exceed 80 lines.
Submissions close 5pm Wednesday 7 September.
